Joanna Meaden has lived in St Albans for 15+ years with her husband and three school-aged children. Like so many families in Clarence, she's experienced first-hand the difficulties in navigating local special educational needs (SEN) provision.
Joanna is committed to inclusion and wants to make sure that all residents feel supported and can enjoy the city’s amazing facilities. She has a passion for ensuring access for all, as well as safeguarding our green spaces and pushing for parking solutions in the ward.

Chris White has served as the district councillor for Clarence Ward since 2008 and is now leader of the district council. His vision for St Albans includes a new local plan– one which puts the climate emergency at its heart, and making the centre more of a ‘café society’, with less traffic in the city centre and sensible pedestrianisation. Chris aims to make it easier and safer for people in St Albans to walk and cycle. Chris has also been the Herts county councillor for St Albans Central division since 1993.
